Atlas Profilax - Day #11

Day #11
Tuesday, 4 December 2012

Minimal pain at certain times of the day; when first waking up out of bed etc.

I have noticed an improved mental state and physical revitalisation. Since having the Atlas treatment (with the exception of the very first day), I have felt more awake during the day, and have not had any afternoon lethargy or 'brain fog'.

I feel the same amount of alertness in the morning as I do throughout the remainder of the day.

I now feel awake within 20 minutes of getting out of bed (previous to the treatment, it would take me around an hour to feel awake).

Walking feels different; despite my tendency to slouch, it feels as though my spine wants to hold me in an upright position.

Atlas Profilax - Day #7

Day #7
Friday, 30 November 2012

This is the first morning on which I have woken up without pain! I had actually forgotten about having the Atlas Profilax treatment done at all.

Mid-morning; my mid-back is sore. No pain or discomfort in neck.

Atlas Profilax - Day #6

Day #6
Thursday, 29 November 2012

Woke up this morning around 10 a.m. No stiffness in neck. No pain.

Minimal discomfort throughout day. Took 1x ibuprofen at work as a prophylactic (... or perhaps out of habit!)  ;-)

Laying in bed at night gave no discomfort at all, but I was sure to keep my spine as straight as possible to facilitate the functioning of what I've termed "my new spine".

Atlas Profilax - Day #5

Day #5
Wednesday, 28 November 2012

Went to bed at 4:30 a.m., fell asleep shortly after 5:00 a.m. and woke up at 10:00 a.m.

Laying in bed before sleep, I had the feeling that my spine and neck were not being supported. I slept without a pillow as it was the most comfortable position available.

Upon waking there was a feeling of stiffness in neck accompanied by pain; this could have been caused by the bed mattress or by the ibuprofen medication having been filtered out by the excretory organs, or both.

Pain subsided largely within 20 minutes of waking, so I'm disinclined to use more ibuprofen unless the pain worsens.

I am feeling alert, 'clear-headed' and grounded, despite an apparent lack of sleep.

Had one ibuprofen tablet around 7 p.m. as a prophylactic and went to bed at 1 a.m. Minimal pain whilst at work.

Went to bed at 1 a.m. and lay in bed without a pillow. No pain. For the first time, I felt as though the bed mattress was actually supporting my spine.

Atlas Profilax - Day #4

Day #4
Tuesday, 27 November 2012

Woke up at 8am and was in pain. Pain on left (L) side of neck, present especially when moving.
Required medication for the pain; 'Nurofen Zavance' (sodium ibuprofen dihydrate (256mg)) x2. Will take 2x more in the afternoon and evening.

Went back to bed and slept. Woke at 10:30am and got out of bed. Pain is lessened but still present. (I can't imagine what it would be like without pain medication!)

I've noticed increased energy throughout the day; a decrease in the afternoon 'brain fog' that would have normally set in prior to the treatment, as well as a feeling of being present and at peace. My social anxiety seems to have subsided, and I feel much more confident when I'm near people.

I haven't felt this level of confidence and peace for a number of years, and can only - though it is only Day #4 since the treatment - attribute it to the Atlas Profilax treatment.

I hope that this continues!

I went to work today despite the pain being worse than yesterday when I actually had the day off.

Neck pain persisted throughout the day, worsening mid-afternoon.
By eight p.m. I had reached the daily quota for the ibuprofen medication and was not feeling very happy about that. I may need to change to a different pain relief agent with a higher daily intake limit.

A massage from my partner later that night at around nine thirty p.m. had actually provided near-instant relief, allowing me to move around with fear of the pain from earlier today.

Laying in bed to sleep was easily accomplished; no pain, rather a feeling of discomfort in the muscles on the left (L) side of neck.

It is now 3 a.m. on Wednesday, 28 November 2012. Perhaps I now have 'too much' energy, because I can't get to sleep, and I don't feel very tired.

Atlas Profilax - Day #3

Day #3
Monday, 26 November 2012

Woke up today feeling drowsy. After 20 minutes, I felt more aware.

Lower back pain is present in spinal area - more persistent than intermittent. It is difficult to feel comfortable no matter how I sit.

I am feeling very irritable because I am not accustomed to long periods of (physical) pain.

Prolonged sitting was causing lower back pain.

Near the evening the pain worsened in my neck on the left (L) side. This continued regardless of position; sitting, standing, or laying in bed.

Despite the pain, I have been feeling an inner sense of peace.

Atlas Profilax - Day #2

Day #2
Sunday, 25 November 2012

I got out of bed at 9:45am feeling refreshed, grounded and clear-headed.

No pain was present in the morning, but intermittent discomfort was present throughout the day in the spinal region of the lower back.

The pain was intermittent throughout the day which was made worse by walking, and seemed to subside largely when sitting comfortably.

Minor neck pain in the evening on both of the two muscles that were manipulated during the Atlas Profilax treatment.

Had a minor emotional late in the evening, feeling sad for myself that my neck was in pain. I can't wait for a proper massage as I'm not sure how longer I can go on like this.

No unusual fatigue.

Settling for bed that night was OK, but I did feel as though the bed mattress was not supporting my spine which caused me to try various positions before being able to sleep.
